No longer supported: Verizon Messages (Message+)

The Message+ app was discontinued in December 2024. We recommend switching to:
- Google Messages for Android devices
 - Apple Messages for iPhone and iPad devices

Good to know: All of your previous text messages (SMS/MMS) previously available in Message+ are accessible from your replacement messaging application and remain in local storage on your device.

For Android™ devices, here's how to switch to Google Messages:
- Open or download Google Messages. The first time you open the app, a message appears: “To use Messages, make it your default SMS app.”
 - Tap the Set default SMS app button.
 - Select Google Messages. Google Messages is the white icon with the blue conversation bubble.
 - Tap Set as default.

Google Messages is now your default messaging app. Move Google Messages to the home screen dock for easier access.
