Here's how to change the advanced settings (LAN, etc.) on your Verizon Jetpack - MiFi 5510L.
To change the Advanced Settings (e.g., LAN, Port Filtering, etc.) on your Jetpack, view this info.
Changing advanced settings may be harmful to the stability, performance, and security of the Jetpack. Contact your local IT admin prior to altering any of these settings.
  1. From the left menu, click
    Jetpack Settings
    .
  2. From the Advanced tab, click
    Continue
    (located on the right).
  3. Click
    Networks
    .
    • Networks
    • Manual DNS
    • SIM
    • Firewall
    • LAN
    • Port Filtering

For info regarding APN settings, refer to Edit Access Point Name (APN).
  1. From the left menu, click
    Jetpack Settings
    .
  2. From the Advanced tab, click
    Continue
    (located on the right).
  3. Click
    Networks
    .
  4. Click the "Preferred network technology"
    Dropdown menu
    .
  5. Click the appropriate setting:
    • Automatic (4G LTE, CDMA)
    • 4G LTE only
  6. Click
    Save Changes
    (located in the lower-right).
Domain Name Server (DNS) settings are automatically assigned by the device. If enabling manual DNS is necessary, contact your local IT admin for assistance.
  1. From the left menu, click
    Jetpack Settings

  2. From the Advanced tab, click
    Continue
    (located on the right).
  3. Click
    Manual DNS
    .
  4. To enable, select (check)
    Enable manual DNS

  5. From the DNS 1 IP address and DNS 2 IP address fields, enter the appropriate information.
  6. Click
    Save Changes
    (located in the lower-right).

  4. From the VPN Passthrough section, click the

  4. From the IPv4 section, enter the desired info into the following fields:
    • IP address
    • Subnet mask
    • Enable DHCP server
      Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Start DHCP address range at
  5. Click
    Save Changes
    (located in the lower-right).

  2. From the Advanced tab, click
    Continue
    (located on the right)
  3. Click
    Port Filtering
    .
  4. From the Port Filtering section, click the
    ON
    /
    OFF switch
    On / Off switch to enable or disable.
  5. From the Applications section, select the desired app(s).
    Selected when a check mark is present.
    If the app is not listed, click
    Add Custom Application
    (located in the lower-left) then enter the appropriate info.
    If disabling Port Filtering, skip to step 3.
  6. Click
    Save Changes
    (located in the lower-right).
