moto g - 2025 - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your moto g - 2025.

For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture-free.

Ensure a secure lock screen type (PIN, pattern, etc.) has been set up.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Security & privacy

Device unlock

Fingerprint

Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.

Do one of the following:

For first-time setup:

From the 'Unlock with your fingerprint' screen, tap

Setup

Place your finger on the

sensor / Power button

until it vibrates then lift it and repeat until the process completes.

Tap

Done

To add more fingerprint(s):

Tap

Add fingerprint

Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered.

Place your finger on the

sensor / Power button

until it vibrates then lift it and repeat until the process completes.

Tap

Done

if finished.

To continue adding fingerprints, tap

Add another

then return to the previous step above (b).

To delete fingerprint(s):

Tap the

Delete icon

to the right of the fingerprint you want to remove, then tap
