Apple iPad - Turn Apple Intelligence On / Off

Here's how to turn Apple Intelligence for your iPad on or off.

Apple Intelligence is currently in beta.

The steps below only apply any Apple® iPad® with A17 Pro or M1 and later on iPadOS 18.1 or later.

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Apple Intelligence &Siri

Do one of the following:

Join Waitlist

Tap

Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist

You’ll be notified as soon as Apple Intelligence is ready for your device.

First Time Setup

Tap

Turn On Apple Intelligence

To continue with set-up, follow the on-screen prompts (i.e., Summarize Notifications, Siri, etc.).

Turn Off

Tap the

Apple Intelligence switch

to off.

Tap

Turn Off Apple Intelligence

Turn On

Tap the

Apple Intelligence switch

to on.
