Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your Pixel 9 / 9 Pro / 9 Pro XL to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Internet
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Connect to an available Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap the preferred network.
      2. Enter the applicable password then tap
        Connect
        .
    • Manually connect to a Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap
        Add network
        .
      2. From the Network name (SSID) field, enter the applicable name.
      3. Tap the Security field
        Dropdown Arrow icon
        .
      4. Tap the applicable security option (e.g., None, WEP, WPA/WPA2-Personal, etc.).
      5. Tap
        Advanced options
         to enable any additional settings (e.g., Proxy settings, IP settings, etc.).
      6. Enter the applicable password then tap
        Save
        .
    • Remove a Wi-Fi connection:
      1. Touch and hold the Wi-Fi network.
      2. Tap
        Forget
        .
