Turning data on your Pixel 9 / 9 Pro / 9 Pro XL provides access to online services over the cellular network, while turning it off will impact that experience unless connected to Wi-Fi.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Network & internet

SIMs

Do any of the following:

Turn Data On / Off

Tap the

Mobile data switch

to turn on or off.

If prompted, tap

to confirm.

Allow / Deny Data Roaming

Depending on your plan, enabling data roaming may cause roaming charges (e.g., when traveling internationally).

Tap the name of the appropriate SIM (e.g., Verizon, etc.).

Tap the

Roaming switch

to turn on or off.

If prompted with 'Allow data roaming?', tap

to confirm if you agree.
