Here's how to use two apps simultaneously on your Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G.
  • 'Multi window' is also referred to as split screen.
  • The 'Multi window' function allows multiple apps to be run on the current screen at the same time.
  • Not all apps support 'Multi window'.

Allows you to view two apps side-by-side.
  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Recent apps icon
     Recent apps icon.
  2. Scroll left or right to locate the preferred app.
  3. Tap the app icon (e.g., Gmail, Settings, Email, etc.) located at the top of the panel then tap
    Open in split screen view
    Options may vary depending on the app selected.

  4. From the 'Select split-screen app' screen, tap the second app to be viewed.
    When on, adjust the size of the apps by sliding the middle bar between the apps up / down or right / left (depending on view) or tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper right) then choose any of the following:
    • Split screen icon Split screen icon to change the current view (vertical or horizontal).
    • Swap screen icon Swap screen icon to change the side each app is on.
    To exit split screen, tap the
    Recent Apps icon
     then swipe up on the split screen window.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the

  2. Scroll left or right to locate the preferred app.
  3. Tap the app icon (e.g., Gmail, Settings, Email, etc.) located at the top of the panel then tap
    Open in pop-up view
    .
    Options may vary depending on the app selected.

  4. When on, do any of the following:
    • Touch and hold the
      Blue bar
       at the top of the pop-up to move the placement of the app.
    • Tap the
      Blue bar
       then do any of the following:
      1. Adjust the opacity of the pop-up by tapping the
        Contrast icon
         Contrast icon then sliding the blue dot left to right.
      2. Adjust the pop-up by tapping the Minimize Minimize icon or Maximize Maximize icon or Close icon Close icon.
    Pop-Up Blue Bar
