Samsung Galaxy A23 5G UW - Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Galaxy A23 5G UW to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

If using a physical SIM card, make sure there's a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.

If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.

If powered off, press and hold the

Power button

(right edge, below the Volume buttons) until the Samsung Galaxy screen appears then release.

Select the appropriate language then tap

From the 'Phone activation' screen, ensure the appropriate mobile number is listed then tap

If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).

If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

To set up your device using another phone or tablet, choose

then follow the instructions.

From the 'Set up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network, enter the password when prompted then tap

to set up the My Verizon app.
