moto g play - 2023 - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your moto g play - 2023.

For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture-free.

Open the

Settings app

From a Home screen, navigate:

Security & privacy

Device lock

Fingerprint

Enter PIN, password or pattern.

Perform one of the following:

First Time Setup

From the 'Unlock with your fingerprint' screen, tap

Setup

Place your finger on the

sensor

(on back of device) until it vibrates then lift it and repeat this step until the process is complete.

Tap

Done

(at the bottom).

Add More Fingerprints

Tap

Add fingerprint

Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered on the device.

Place your finger on the

sensor

(on back of device) then lift it and repeat this step until the process is complete.

Tap 'Done' if finished or 'Add another' to continue adding fingerprints.

Remove Fingerprint(s)

Tap the

Delete icon

to the right of the fingerprint you want to remove.

Tap

Delete
