Windows 11 - Turn Data On / Off

Turning data on your Windows 11 device provides access to online services over the cellular network, while turning it off will impact that experience unless connected to Wi-Fi.

If your device isn't running Windows® 11, refer to the Windows 10 instructions.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Network & internet

Cellular

Do any of the following:

Turn Data On / Off

Tap or click the

Cellular data switch

to turn on or off.

Allow / Deny Data Roaming

Depending on your plan, enabling data roaming may cause roaming charges (e.g., when traveling internationally).

Tap or click the

Data roaming options dropdown icon

then select the preferred setting:

Don't roam

Roam
