These steps guide you through setting up and customizing your LG Q70™ for everyday use.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating your new LG Q70.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
- If powered off, press and hold thePower button(right edge) until the LG logo appears then release.
- If presented with 'Verify Your Account', enter your Verizon account PIN then tapNEXT.See Account PIN FAQs for additional info.If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.
- Select the appropriate language then tapNEXT.
- After the phone is activated, tapNext.
- Select a network, enter the password then tapNext.If you choose 'Skip', you can add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.
- From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, tapNext.If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.
- Tap the preferred option then follow the on-screen instructions.
- Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one then tapNext.If you choose 'Skip', you can add your Google account after setup is complete.
- Turn on any of the following then tapAccept:On when the switch is turned on

- Back up to Google Drive
- Use location
- Allow scanning
- Send usage and diagnostic data
- From the 'Secure your phone' screen, select an option then tapNext.If you choose 'No, thanks' you can add a screen lock or set up fingerprint recognition after setup is complete.
- From the 'Google Assistant' screen, tapNext.
- From the 'Your Assistant is a tap away' screen, tapNext.
- From the 'Verizon Services' screen turn on any of the following then tapAccept:On when the switch is turned on
- Location info
- Apps info
- From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, tapNext.If you choose 'Skip', you can set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.
- From the Email Services? screen tapNext, select an email account type, then enter your sign-in info to add your email or Skip the step and set up later.
- From the 'Digital Secure' screen, review the terms and conditions then tapAccept.
- From the 'Ready to go!' summary screen, tapGot it!.
