Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) feature on your OnePlus 8 5G UW.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    System
    Accessibility
    RTT
    .
  3. Tap
    RTT operation mode
     then select from the following:
    • Visible during calls
    • Always visible (Manual)
    • Always visible (Automatic)
  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
     Phone icon.
    If unavailable, swipe up from the center of the display then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • From the Keypad tab, enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      Dial icon
       Dial icon (at the bottom).
    • From the Recents tab, tap a recent call.
    • From the Contacts tab, select a contact then tap the
      Call icon
       Dial icon.
  3. Once the call is connected, tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right) then do one of the following:
    • To enable RTT, tap
      RTT call
      .
    • To disable RTT while on a call, tap
      Hide RTT keyboard
      .
