These steps guide you through setting up and customizing your OnePlus 8 5G UW for everyday use.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
- Ensure a 5G SIM is inserted in the device prior to powering on.To avoid potential activation / service issues, don't insert a 4G SIM card.5G devices purchased from Verizon include a pre-installed 5G SIM card.
- Press and hold thePower buttonuntil the OnePlus logo appears then release.
- Select the appropriate language then tapStart.
- Review the Terms and Conditions then select any of the switches to turn on
or off
and tap
AGREE. - From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tapNEXT.If prompted, enter your Verizon account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts. (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.
- Select a network then enter the password.TapSkipto add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.
- From the 'Copy apps and data' screen, tapNext.TapDon't copyif you'd like a fresh start.If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.
- Sign in to your existing Google™ then tap 'Next' or 'Create account'.TapSkipto add your Google account after setup is complete.
- From the 'Google services' screen, select any of the switches to turn on
or off
then tap
Accept. - From the 'How to use fingerprint' screen, tapNEXTthen follow one screen prompts.TapSkipto add a fingerprint after setup is complete.
- From the 'Set screen lock' screen, select an option then tapNEXT.
- From the 'Verizon Services' screen, select any of the switches to turn on
or off
then tap
ACCEPT. - From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, tapNEXT.TapSkipto set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.
- From the 'Digital Secure' screen, tap ACCEPT.TapSKIPto bypass and set up later.
- From the 'Font' screen, select an option then tapNEXT.
- From the 'Setup completed' summary screen, tapFinish.
