Samsung Galaxy Watch - Back Up Data

Here's how to back up your Galaxy Watch data via the Galaxy Wearables app.

Back-ups can't be initiated from the watch.

From your Android™ or Apple® iPhone® smartphone, ensure the Galaxy Wearable app is installed ( Android™ , iOS ) and updated ( Android , iOS ) on your smartphone.

Before beginning, ensure a Samsung account has been added to the watch.

From a Home screen on your companion phone, do one of the following:

For Android smartphones, tap the

Galaxy Wearable app

For Apple iPhones, tap the

Samsung Galaxy Watch (Gear S) app

From the Home tab, tap

Account and backup

If necessary, tap

Watch settings

then

Account and backup

Tap

Back up data

For Apple iPhone, tap

Backup and restore

then

Back up data

To allow the Galaxy Wearable app to automatically back up data, tap the

Auto back up

(at the top) to turn on.

Not available on Apple iPhone.

Select (check) the desired options (e.g., Phone, Messages, Settings, etc.) then tap

Back up

Options vary based on companion device (e.g., Samsung smartphone, non-Samsung smartphone). Desired options on Apple iPhone can't be modified.
