Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Tab S6 makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.
Add Apps
- From a Home screen, swipe up to view all apps.
- Touch and hold an app.
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
Add Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWidgets.
- Tap a widget.Some widgets offer different size options. If no additional options are available, skip to step 4.
- TapAdd.
- Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
- If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.Options vary depending on the type of widget.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g. Email).
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g. Gmail).A folder containing the shortcuts is created (folder name is blank by default). To rename the folder:
- Tap the folder.
- Tap theTitle barat the top of the open folder.
- Enter a name then tapDone.
To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
Remove Apps / Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
- When the pop-up bubble appears, release the icon then tapRemove.
Set Wallpaper
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
- TapWallpaper and style.
- Do one of the following:
- To use a default wallpaper image:
- TapMy wallpapers.
- Select a wallpaper image from the list.
- Tap the preferred option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, etc.).
- TapSet on 'option' screen.
- If prompted, select a color palette then tapApply.
- To use an image from your gallery:
- TapGallery.
- Locate then select the preferred picture then tapDone.
- Tap the preferred option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, etc.).
- TapSet on 'option' screen.
- If prompted, select a color palette then tapApply.
