Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Tab S6 makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to view all apps.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap a widget.
    Some widgets offer different size options. If no additional options are available, skip to step 4.
  4. Tap
    Add
    .
  5. Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  6. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
    Options vary depending on the type of widget.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g. Email).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g. Gmail).
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (folder name is blank by default). To rename the folder:
    1. Tap the folder.
    2. Tap the
      Title bar
      at the top of the open folder.
    3. Enter a name then tap
      Done

    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
  2. When the pop-up bubble appears, release the icon then tap
    Remove
    .
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use a default wallpaper image:
      1. Tap
        My wallpapers
        .
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Tap the preferred option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, etc.).
      4. Tap
        Set on 'option' screen
        .
      5. If prompted, select a color palette then tap
        Apply
        .
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture then tap
        Done
        .
      3. Tap the preferred option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, etc.).
      4. Tap
        Set on 'option' screen
        .
      5. If prompted, select a color palette then tap
        Apply
        .
