Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Tab S5e makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    (at the bottom).
  3. Tap a widget.
    Some widgets offer different size options. If necessary, swipe right or left to view the desired widget.
  4. Touch and hold the desired widget.
  5. Drag-and-drop the widget to the preferred Home screen location.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  6. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
    Options vary depending on the type of widget.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
  2. When the pop-up bubble appears, release the icon then tap
    Remove
    .
    Some pre-installed apps (e.g., Gmail, Gallery, etc.) can't be deleted from a Home screen.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Calendar, Gallery, etc.).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail, Calculator, etc.).
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). To rename the folder:
    1. Tap the folder.
    2. Tap the
      Title bar
      at the top of the open folder.
    3. Enter a name then tap
      Done

    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper
    .
  3. From the 'Wallpaper' screen, do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap
        My wallpapers
        .
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
      4. If prompted, tap
        Sync my edits
        .
      5. Tap
        Set on Home and lock screens
        to confirm.
        Confirmation varies based on the option selected.
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
      5. If prompted, tap
        Sync my edits
        .
      6. Tap
        Set on Home and lock screens
        to confirm.
        Confirmation varies based on the option selected.
    • To use a Wallpaper service:
      1. Tap
        Wallpaper services
        .
      2. Tap
        Dynamic Lock screen
        .
      3. Tap
        Apply
        .
      4. To only download new images when connected to Wi-Fi, ensure 'Download using mobile data' is turned off.
      5. Select an image then tap
        Download
        if prompted.
