Here's how to determine what the various LED indicators on your MiFi M1000 mean.
Display Icon | Icon | Description |
No icons | The M1000 is powered off or not receiving power or the screen is in power save mode. | |
Network Signal Strength | Network Signal Strength indicator. More bars indicate more signal strength. | |
Roaming | Roaming Indicator. | |
Wi-Fi Indicator | Your M1000 Wi-Fi network is turned on. | |
Connected Devices | Shows the number of Wi-Fi devices connected to your M1000. | |
Batter Charge Indicator | The battery is fully charged. | |
Battery Charge Indicator | The battery is critically low and the M1000 will shut down unless the battery is connected to the charger. | |
Battery AC Charging Indicator | Displays when the M1000 is connected to the AC charger. | |
Battery USB Charging Indicator | Displays when the M1000 is connected to the AC charger. | |
SIM | If this icon displays, there is no SIM card installed. | |
SIM | If this icon displays, your SIM is locked. Real-time data usage meter won't display. | |
SIM | If this icon displays, there is a SIM error. Check to be sure your SIM card is properly installed. | |
USB Tethered | If this icon displays, your device is connected to the M1000 via USB. | |
Ethernet Connected | If this icon displays, your device is connected to the M1000 via Ethernet. | |
Software Update | Scroll and select the icon to display the current SW version, and to download and install an update. |
The power indicator (located near the lower-right corner of the screen) blinks white intermittently when the display is off (sleep mode) but the MiFi is still powered on.
