Sonim XP8 - Turn Android Beam On / Off

Here's how to enable settings to share files with nearby devices your Sonim XP8 on or off.

If you need to wirelessly transfer data from your Sonim XP8® to another Near Field Communication (NFC) capable device, follow these step-by-step instructions.

The Near By setting, formally known as Android Beam, can be utilized to transfer data (e.g., web pages, videos, place page in Maps) from one Near Field Communication (NFC) capable device to another when only a few centimeters apart, typically back-to-back.

From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.

Navigate: Settings

Ensure the NFC switch is turned on Switch on

If prompted, review the disclaimer then tap

Tap the

Nearby Share switch
