LG G8 ThinQ - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your G8 ThinQ.

For the fingerprint scanner to operate on your LG G8 ThinQ™, hands must be clean and moisture-free.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Lock screen & security

Fingerprints

Enter the current knock code, PIN, password or pattern.

Do one of the following:

First-Time Setup

From the 'Unlock your phone with your fingerprint' screen, tap

Follow the onscreen demo to add your fingerprint then place your finger on the

Home button

on the back of the device to begin the scan.

Tap

Add More Fingerprints

Tap

Add fingerprint

Follow the onscreen demo to add your fingerprint then place your finger on the

Home button

on the back of the device to begin the scan.

Tap

Remove Fingerprints

Tap the

Delete icon

to the right of the fingerprint you want to delete.

Tap

Delete

to confirm.
