LG G6 - View / Extend Battery Life

Here's how to extend battery life, view charging status / remaining battery and determine what uses the most power on your LG G6.

View Battery Life

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Battery

Review the current battery status (e.g., battery percentage, charging status and estimated time to fully charge).

Battery life is measured by standby time, talk time and data usage.

Tap

Battery usage

then view the history of battery usage.

To improve battery life, you can:

Disable or uninstall apps (e.g., live wallpapers, etc.) that are consuming too much battery or RAM or aren't being used.

Contact the app developer if an app appears to cause excessive battery drain.

Adjust brightnesss to the lowest setting.

Turn off GPS when not in use.

If turned off, certain apps or services may not work properly.

Ensure battery optimization isn't ignored; make sure accounts (e.g., email, Facebook®, etc.) are not turned on.

Remove widgets that automatically update.
