Financial emergencies happen, and sometimes bills are higher than expected. If you can't pay your Verizon mobile bill on time, setting up a payment arrangement can prevent your account from being sent to collections or having your service interrupted.

Set up a payment arrangement in My Verizon.
When you need more time to pay your Verizon mobile bill, you can make an agreement to pay us on a date that's after your bill's due date.
Setting up a payment arrangement:
If your $100 bill is due tomorrow and you don't have enough money, you can visit the My Verizon website or use the My Verizon app to arrange to pay $100 next Friday. Or, you may be able to split the payment, paying part of the bill today and the rest next Friday.

Yes. You can set up a payment arrangement any time you have a balance on your account, either before or after the account becomes past due.
Before your bill due date: If you already know you can't pay all or some of your bill on time, avoid collections activity and service interruption by setting up a payment arrangement to pay the bill after the original due date.
After your bill due date: You can still set up a payment arrangement. However, any time you go past your due date without payment you might not avoid late fees, collections activity and/or service interruption.
Yes. When you set up a payment arrangement you're letting us know you're going to be late with payment and that you're taking care of the situation. That keeps you from having your account experience collection activity and from having your Verizon mobile service interrupted.
Keep in mind, you need to make your payment on the payment agreement date to keep past due activity from starting on your account.
Yes. A fee for late payment is still charged to your account any time a past due balance is greater than $7.* A payment arrangement doesn't stop the late fee.
A late payment fee can be charged to your account as early as the day after the original bill's due date. Late fee charges are charged at the rate of 5% of the balance that wasn't paid by the due date or $7 (whichever is greater) or as permitted by law.
For example, if your unpaid balance is $50, each month until you're current, a late fee of $7 is charged to your bill (since 5% of $50 is less than $7).
*In Arizona, the late fee is added if the balance is $10 or greater.

Payment amount: You can always pay more than the amount you set up in your agreement. If you want to pay less, you have to cancel the entire payment arrangement and set a new payment arrangement with a different amount.
Payment date: You can't change the amount or date for a payment arrangement you set up. Instead, you have to cancel the entire payment arrangement and set a new payment arrangement with a different date.
Payment method: You can change the payment method to any method (e.g., check, credit card, debit card, etc.). You can also change a scheduled payment to a payment arrangement to pay or vice versa.

How you make your payment depends on which kind of arrangement you set up:
