I purchased these to use with my Samsung flip phone, however, I have to buy an adaptor in order to use the headphones.

These are on-ear headphones, not over-the-ear headphones. I found them uncomfortable to wear with my glasses and couldn't wear them for longer than an hour or so. The sound quality is nice, but uncomfortable to wear, unfortunately.

We have had these for less than 9 months and the jack completely broke off in the computer when we took the headphones out - we didn't yank, pull aggressively or pull at an angle - very disappointing.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.
I have owned several pairs of Sony earbuds and headphones over the years. These are another great example of Sony quality and excellent value. I have owned a pair of MDR-V150 for years and and the sound from these is nearly as good. One key improvement is the comfort, as I could wear these all day. Also, the cable is just the right length, and the plug fits into my Android phone even while inside my protective case. No more ear buds while I'm walking around the house doing chores, etc. I can even take a call if interrupted. Great job Sony!

I'm confused. Are these bluetooth? Are the wireless? if not, how do you use them with any new phone that has no jack

These are not wireless headphones. You will need ot use an adapter to use them with phones that have no audio jack. ~Freddy
